Website Recognition
The creation of this website was made possible with the extraordinary support and cooperation of former members of VMD-354. To look back some 55 years ago and recall the events of those days was certainly a challenge for all. While it did require the best part of a year to gather, organize and assemble the material that we collected, we feel that it does represent what our squadron, VMD-354, was all about.
The contributions made to this Website were received in various forms. There were those who contributed bits of information and photographs and others, who provided much of the historical data including names, dates, events and places. This latter group of people, because of their knowledge and recollection of such information, are truly the "Squadron Historians". We owe them a debt of gratitude for their cooperation.
